In 1981, Marian C. Blakeslee graduated from the University of California at Berkeley where she majored in Art History and spent her junior year abroad in Italy. In 1985, after a brief time in banking and sales, she returned to school and obtained her law degree from Golden Gate University.
Marian C. Blakeslee began her career as an associate with a trial firm in Los Angeles and then returned to the Bay Area to work for a litigation firm in San Francisco. After 10 years as a trial attorney with firms in Los Angeles and then San Francisco, Marian C. Blakeslee founded the Law Offices of Marian C. Blakeslee in Marin County.
Professional associations include the California Bar Association, the Los Angeles Bar Association and the Marin County Bar Association.
Marian C. Blakeslee is also a member of the Marin Master Gardeners and a former member and treasurer of the San Francisco Yacht Club Auxiliary.
